Quick rules
  • How you win: get rid of your cards. If you go out on a 2 or a 4, the next player can still answer it (stack the 2, or play the next card of the 4 chain). The round ends when someone has to pick up the cards. When someone goes out, everyone else scores the cards left in their hand, and points are bad. The game ends when anyone reaches the end score (500 at a normal table), and the player with the LOWEST total wins.
  • Match the top card by rank or suit, or draw one card and pass.
  • 3 is wild. It only goes on the same suit as the top card, but a 3 can always go on another 3 (the one under it is already spent). After a 3, you may lay down any card from your hand. Every 3 you lay down earns another, so you can chain all your 3s.
  • King reverses the direction.
  • 2 is draw two. Dodge with any 2. Whoever cannot draws 2 for every live 2.
  • 4 is a chain. The next player must play the next rank in that suit (4, 5, 6, 7 ...). If they cannot, they draw one fewer than the rank they needed.
  • Down to one card: press LAST CARD before the next player acts, or anyone can call you out and you draw 1.
  • Hand points: 4 = 40, 2 = 30, Ace = 20, 10 J Q K = 10, everything else 5.
